After missing a little more than 13 months since his last start for the Atlanta Braves, Brandon Beachy made his much anticipated return from Tommy John surgery Monday night against the Rockies. Simply, it was not pretty for Beachy as he was knocked around for seven runs on eight hits and one walk over 3 2/3 innings. Beachy's struggles does not come as a surprise, but it did set the stage for one of the craziest wins the Braves have had this season. Andrelton Simmons 10th inning walk-off single provided the 9-8 victory for the Braves over the Rockies. One positive for Beachy and the Braves to take from his first start back was his fastball velocity was in the low 90s.
