Yasiel Puig did not play Sunday night for the Los Angeles Dodgers due to a sprained left thumb. Puig injured his thumb on Saturday while diving to third base. Fortunately, it doesn't look like Puig is dealing with any sort of fracture, but his MRI did reveal a strained left thumb could be sore enough to prevent him from playing for a few days. Puig's occasionally reckless playing style may expose him to more bumps and bruises than most outfielders, but his all-world talent is probably enough for fantasy owners to excuse a few missed games here and there. Fantasy owners should consider him day-to-day and he should avoid the disabled list.
