Derek Jeter was placed back on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a right calf strain. Jeter suffered the injury during Friday's game against the Padres and did not play the rest of the weekend. An MRI revealed a "mild strain," but the Yankees don't want to risk making things worse by rushing Jeter back to the field. Still, Jeter stated on Monday to reporters after Monday's game that he expects to return sooner than three weeks. This has been a miserable season for Jeter as this marks his third trip to the DL this season, all due to separate concerns. He has managed to tally just 19 at-bats in 2013. Eduardo Nunez figures to get most the playing time at shortstop.
