Roy Halladay had a disastrous outing Sunday afternoon against the Marlins. Halladay lasted just 2 1/3 innings and  in a 14-2 loss to Miami, and now he is going to see a doctor. After the game, he revealed to reporters that he has been experiencing mild discomfort in his throwing shoulder since his April 24th outing against the Pirates. Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. was asked if Halladay had informed anyone in management of the discomfort he felt in his right shoulder after the start against the Pirates. Amaro Jr. said that Halladay had not told anyone and figured it was just normal post game soreness. It appears imminent that Halladay will go on the disabled list. Halladay has a 8.65 ERA and the Phillies have to find out what is going on with their $20 million dollar pitcher.

Roy Oswalt Signs with Rockies

Its been reported that Roy Oswalt was waiting for the right offer from a contender to come along and apparently he feels that the Colorado Rockies are that team because he signed a minor league deal with them on Thursday. Given the fact that four of the five Rockies starters have an ERA of 4.00 or higher, it should not take Oswalt long to get back in the majors. This is certainly a low risk, high reward situation for both sides, but of all the teams that Oswalt could have signed with to contend this year, I'm just as surprised as many are that he picked the Rockies and Coors Field to call his home in 2013. However, he's 4-0 with a 2.25 ERA at Coors Field during his career. Its anyone's guess what he will do once he joins the Rockies, but after posting a 5.80 ERA with the Rangers last year, fantasy owners need to proceed with caution. He is worth adding in deep NL-Only leagues and mixed leagues.
